1. Introduction

Welcome to WritePulp ("Application", "we", "our", or "us")! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WritePulp mobile application and any associated services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using WritePulp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you may not use our Service.

WritePulp is an independent platform for creating, reading, sharing, and discussing original content, including books, articles, and blogs. Users can create individual or collaborative content, set copyright terms, and interact through comments and private messaging.

Your use of WritePulp is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, safeguard, and disclose information from your use of our Service. Please take a moment to review our Privacy Policy.

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you have read and understood both the Terms and our Privacy Policy, and that you agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree with (or cannot comply with) the Terms or Privacy Policy, you may not use the Service. However, please contact us at [email protected] if you have any concerns or would like to discuss potential solutions. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive service-related communications including verification codes, security alerts, and occasional announcements. You can manage preferences or opt out via your account settings or device notifications settings.

3. User Accounts

To access core features of WritePulp, users must register using their name, email, phone number, and country. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any unauthorized use must be reported immediately to [email protected].

Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violating these Terms, including misuse of the platform, sharing harmful content, or infringing on others' rights.

4. User-Generated Content

WritePulp allows users to upload, post, and share content. You retain ownership of your content but grant us a non-exclusive license to display and host it for service functionality.

Users must select an appropriate copyright license (e.g., All Rights Reserved, Creative Commons) for each content they create. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights, including copyright infringement, defamation, or infringement of privacy rights.

WritePulp does not claim ownership of user content but may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, including any content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others or violates community standards. If your content is removed due to a violation, you may be subject to account suspension or termination.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service (excluding user content) are owned by WritePulp. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any portion of the application except as expressly permitted by us.

6. Privacy and Data Use

Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how it is processed, and how we protect your personal information. We comply with relevant data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if applicable, to safeguard your personal data.

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time, and you may withdraw your consent for us to process your data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us directly.

We do not share your personal data with third-party services except where necessary to provide our services, such as through the use of third-party service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, etc.). For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

7. Permissions

WritePulp requires permission to access the camera and gallery for profile and cover image uploads, and notifications for alerting users about relevant activity. These permissions are optional and can be managed through your device settings.

In some cases, you may access certain features of the Service offline, such as reading downloaded content. However, full functionality of the Service, including content creation and sharing, requires an active internet connection.

8. Community Guidelines, Reporting and Moderation

WritePulp has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. By creating an account you agree to these Community Guidelines. They apply to everything you post or send on the Service, including publications, chapters, reviews, comments, community groups, group messages, private messages, profile information and images. You will be asked to accept them in the app before you can post or interact, and again whenever they change.

You may not post, send or share content that:

  • harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or targets another person;
  • promotes hatred or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic;
  • is sexually explicit, except for fiction that is clearly marked with an adult (18+) age rating and placed in an adult category; sexual content is never allowed in reviews, comments, profiles or messages;
  • sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors in any way. Such content is removed immediately, the account is terminated, and we report it to the relevant authorities;
  • encourages or glorifies self-harm, suicide or dangerous activities;
  • infringes copyright or other intellectual property, including plagiarism of another author's work;
  • impersonates another person or organization, or misrepresents your identity;
  • is spam, a scam, phishing, malware, or misleading or unsolicited promotion;
  • discloses another person's private information without their consent;
  • is otherwise illegal under the laws that apply to you or to WritePulp.

Reporting. Every publication, chapter, review, community, message and user profile can be reported from within the app using the "Report" option. The person you report is not told who reported them. You can also report content by email to [email protected].

Blocking. You can block any user from their profile, their reviews or their messages. Once blocked, neither of you can follow or message the other, and their reviews and messages are hidden from you. You can review and undo blocks at any time in Settings > Privacy > Blocked users.

Review within 24 hours. Our moderation team reviews reports and acts on them within 24 hours. Content reported by several users may be hidden automatically while it is under review. When content breaks these Terms, we remove it and may restrict, suspend or permanently terminate the account responsible, without prior notice. Serious or repeated violations lead to permanent removal from the Service.

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted by mistake, contact [email protected] and we will review the decision.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to WritePulp without notice for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the platform.

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, personal data and account-specific content will be removed unless you choose to keep your content published anonymously.

10. Age Policy

You must be at least 13 years old to register and use WritePulp. If you are under 13, you may not use the Service. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Content creators must label their works with an appropriate age suitability rating (e.g., all ages, 16+, 18+).

11. Limitation of Liability

WritePulp is provided "as is" and without any guarantees or warranties. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes but is not limited to damages related to the use or inability to use the Service, loss of data, or interruption of service. 12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update, modify, or change these Terms of Service at any time. Major changes will be communicated to users through email or notifications within the app. Minor updates may not be communicated individually but will be reflected in the updated Terms on our website. Continued use of the Service after such updates will indicate your acceptance of the modified Terms. When we change the Community Guidelines in Section 8, you will be asked to accept the new version in the app before you can continue. If you do not accept the new Terms, you may discontinue your use of the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of Istanbul, Turkey. If you are located outside of Turkey, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul for the resolution of any disputes. For international users, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply.

14. Feedback and Suggestions

By using the Service, you may provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas related to the performance, functionality, or improvement of the Service ("Feedback"). You acknowledge and agree that any Feedback you submit is entirely voluntary and becomes the property of WritePulp.

You grant WritePulp a worldwide, irrevocable, transferable, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, distribute, display, and create derivative works of any Feedback you provide, without any further compensation to you, in any manner, media, or technology now known or later developed.

You acknowledge that WritePulp has no obligation to use, respond to, or incorporate any Feedback into the Service, and that we may use or refrain from using the Feedback at our sole discretion. Please ensure your feedback is constructive, relevant to the improvement of the Service, and not based on personal opinions or unrelated to the platform.

15. Acknowledgement

BY USING SERVICE OR OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED BY US, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM.
